Last Chance to bag a place on the Germany Trip!
For the past 3 years we have been running a Pre Season Camp in Germany. They are a great success – the children have a brilliant time. Due to popular demand we are planning a repeat trip in 2012, going camping in Germany, this time for boys and girls born from 1997 to 2002. We will be returning to the same great place, where we have access to both a football pitch and a sport hall, catering for all our needs.
The cost for the event is €299 per person, which will include flights, bus transfers, full accommodation, etc Due to incredibly popular demand (there are currently 41 (yes, 41!!) kids registered along with 19 adult helpers… There’s still a LAST FEW PLACES LEFT but BE QUICK!!! Registration requires a non-refundable deposit of €150.
Please note that the camp is limited to 50 children – strictly on a first come, first served basis. Contact Andreas Traem on .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or 086 233 0868

Thank you to everyone in the club who made the visit by the FAI & AVIVA team such a success last weekend! ). The Setanta footage is themed along the lines of ‘Your Pitch’ and after editing is now a 3 minute YouTube Profile of the Club, footage for Setanta Programme as well as for FAI AGM and club of year award; and will also be used as a 30 second appearance on the big screen TVs at matches. Mark Russell, sponsorship manager from AVIVA, Dave McHugh of Line Up Sports Media, Jacqui Hurley of RTE’s Sunday Sport and Darragh Bambrick (filming on behalf of Setanta) were all given a great welcome by the club. They were given a Tour of the clubhouse (and the fantastic club photos from the last 12 months), saw the girls and boys participating in the Skills Certificate, and interviewed Paul Kavanagh (Chairman), David Miller (Secretary) and Jonathan Bennett (U15 Girls Coach). Have a peek at the clip by clicking on the YouTube clip below (wish it could have been longer! perhaps someone with digital video skills in the club could help us create a longer one in the future?!):

SPEAKING TO THE PRESS, CHAIRMAN PAUL KAVANAGH WAS QUOTED AS SAYING:
"THIS AWARD IS A MASSIVE RECOGNITION OF THE QUIET HARD WORK PUT IN OVER THE YEARS BY THE COMMUNITY OF ENNISKERRY AND NORTH WICKLOW INTO CREATING A FUN-FILLED, SAFE, DYNAMIC FOOTBALL CLUB FOR THE GIRLS AND BOYS OF OUR COMMUNITY"
Enniskerry FC's Chairman Paul Kavanagh, and Secretary David Miller commented:
Enniskerry FC winning the FAI Aviva Club of the Month Award - and qualifying for the grand final of 8 clubs competing for the FAI Club of the Year Award in Donegal in June, out of a possible 2,000+ clubs from across the country - is a massive recognition of the quiet hard work put in over the years by the community of Enniskerry and north Wicklow into creating a fun-filled, safe, dynamic football club for the girls and boys of our community.
Winning this award is a great boost to all sport in the community of Enniskerry (we have an excellent GAA club, St Mary's, as well as Tennis, Tag Rugby, Community Games, Running Club and more) and is a recognition of the enormous amounts of hard work put in by volunteers and parents to make soccer fun for the 300+ children in our club.
Every year Enniskerry FC hosts "Belles in the Meadow", widely regarded as one of Ireland's finest all-girls soccer tournaments, which has gone from strength to strength each year (600+ girls from 60+ teams played last April); our end of year club soccer mini-world cup festival,"Soccer in the Meadow", takes place in June and is a huge celebration. Our hope is that even more parents and children will see the fun they can have being part of the club; and in doing so, becoming a closer part of the fabulous community of Enniskerry.
