Does the Club run a raffle?

We’ve traditionally run a St Patrick’s Day raffle as a fund-raiser for the Club, with cash prizes for the winner. We get a licence from the Superintendant in Bray to run the raffle and then coaches sell tickets over the weeks leading up to St Patrick’s Day.

In 2012 we made our target the purchase by the Club of an Automated External Defibrillator (known as an ‘AED’).

An AED is an automated external defibrillator or AED is a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses the potentially life threatening cardiac arrhythmias of ventricular fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia in a patient, and is able to treat them through defibrillation, the application of electrical therapy which stops the arrhythmia, allowing the heart to reestablish an effective rhythm.

And guess what… we achieved our target! We bought an AED and are in the process of training up our coaches and volunteers in it use.  This is a massive financial investment for a Club the size of Enniskerry. It has also further demonstrated to the local Community and to parents of children in the Club, the Club’s commitment to the provision of the best facilities and equipment to allow the children to play football in a fun and safe environment. It has already been shared with the local school for a large Fund-raising walk.
